Culinary Mastery as a Way of Life

Seasonal, fresh, and meticulously prepared cuisine is a French institution. And with such stunning local produce available throughout the region, it’s easy to make every meal memorable.

A fertile powerhouse for fresh-grown ingredients and, of course, world-famous wine, the Loire Valley is well recognized for its gastronomic prowess. Indeed, nearly 20 restaurants within the region boast one Michelin star or more.

Upon its anticipated opening at Les Bordes Estate, the Six Senses Hotel & Spa will also offer a fine dining restaurant of its own, bringing haute cuisine ever closer to home.

Wine with 2,000 Years of History

The first vineyards in the Loire Valley were planted by the Romans in the very first century–and they’ve been perfected since. There are over 1,000 vineyards open to the public in the region, including 400 specially accredited wine cellars.

And if that wasn’t enough, a future wine cellar on the estate itself will ensure that no occasion on its grounds will ever go without the perfect bottle to accompany it.

Chateau de Miniere

Taste a range of certified organic wines aged from 10 to 100 years at this historic altar to the Cabernet Franc grape.

Bouvet Ladubay

Explore the 8m of cellars on vintage bicycles before indulging in legendary sparkling wines.

Château des Vaults

Adults enjoy the Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc while this event-happy and family-friendly vineyard offers locally produced grape juice for the kids.

Château de Brissac

Known as the “The Giant of the Loire Valley,” its mediaeval fortress offers seven stories of height for panoramic views, paired well with Anjou Rose.

Maison Bredif

Tour stunning cellars carved from rock at this cosy family-owned winery where some bottles date back to 1874.
